Superior Land Conservancy (SLC) operates as a local division of the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy (SMLC) a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which serves the entire seven county southeast Michigan region. With the help of SLC, Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy has made Superior Township a focal point of conservation efforts in the region. From a regional perspective, Superior Township is highly important in that it contains much of the last significant open space that remains between Detroit and Ann Arbor. To ensure this open space is preserved for this and future generations, a collaboration called the Superior Greenway has been established between local conservancies, governments and other groups. The home office of the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy is now located in Superior Township at the Conservancy Farm. Together we work with many local and regional governments as well as other land conservancies to continue saving open spaces and natural areas near where we live.
Since its formation in 1991, Superior Land Conservancy has demonstrated that local residents can make a difference in raising awareness about the importance of land conservation and maintaining the quality of life in their community.
Gifts to the Superior Land Conservancy will be used for Superior Township projects and work. This includes new land protection projects, stewardship of our nature preserves, Conservancy Farm projects, and to educate the community about the importance of land conservation in Superior Township, MI.
Superior Land Conservancy is a Division of Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy and as such all donations to SLC are tax-deductable to the extent provided by law.
There are two ways you can support SLC today...
By Mail: print and complete an SLC Contribution Form and mail it to SMLC at the address on the form with your gift.
By Internet: through SMLC's Network for Good service, you may make a secure online donation to SLC. Be sure to type "Superior Land Conservancy" in the gift designation box of the donation form.
Either way you choose to donate, you will recieve an acknowledgement letter from SLC for your records.
