The Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy conserves natural land and open
space -- including forests, wetlands, meadows, agricultural lands, and places of
scenic beauty -- to provide habitat for wildlife and to enrich the lives of people.

SMLC Local Divisions

SMLC currently has two "Local Divisions." These are groups made up of people from specific communities who are dedicated to carrying out the work of SMLC on a more local level. Volunteers work with the SMLC staff and Board of Directors to plan for and implement projects to save land, care for land, and help with fundraising.
